A Blessing Rain

I woke to the blaring rain storm this morning.  A blessing rain!   It is much needed.

We have been in the Pacific Northwest for almost 2 years now and I have begun to practice a shift in perspective in lieu of the serenity prayer:

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

The moment I landed, I was home ~ energetically, spiritually divinely aligned with the feeling of One.

It is amazing how in tune I feel when I am on Maui.  The stillness in the air, the grace and beauty that surrounds me, the love we feel, everywhere we go.  I have decided this "Aloha" shall live in my heart space.  From the space in my heart, I find aloha, and this is where I carry my home.

Awakening From The Dream

10/30/2011

I watched the live stream of Eckhart Tolle in conversation with Ram Dass and Wayne Dwyer, Friday and Saturday, respectively.  What great reminders these beings are for all of us!   No one ever speaks of it, but they are masters of metaphysics!  Their ability to articulate the form and formless, Spirit and understanding of God, Atman, the Buddha, Brahma, Divine Mind is a gift to Us!  These concepts of form and formless are an addendum to the concept of the absolute and relative realm that the Fillmores, Shankin, Cady and so many other master teachers have taught.

I care little about these great teachers' lives - I'd rather not know about their human shortcomings.  We all have our issues to deal with in the dream state that we live.  Perhaps the shortcomings that we all are susceptible in life as human beings give us the opportunity to grow in Spirit and to awaken ever more.   I am much more concerned about the message that they are channeling, thereby helping my own  awakening in the process.  I get what Eckhart was saying about the ego creating suffering - and how it self destructs when it gets to a point of pinnacle tolerance (my words, not his), unable to hold its own b.s.   The ego will self destruct, and depending on whom the ego inhabits, that One will either experience an awakening or make another choice.  I find the former to be true for me - ego has inhabited much of my life - and only began to be conscious of Spirit in my early 20s.  Even then, the presence of Spirit was baffling and upon looking back, I allowed grace to carry me through periods of confusion and tribulation.

Even before attending this event, I am presence to my awakening - some 20 years now.  Like so many of my brothers and sisters, I am coming into the Truth of Being - to recognizing who I am and whom we all are underneath the exterior of form.  We are the a manifestations of The One ~ and all these expressions are beautiful.  What I have observed in myself, and I find to be interesting is that I return to this place of wanting to awaken...

As in slumber, when we realize that we are dreaming, and want to awaken ourselves from the dream, I, too have this yearning to awaken myself from the illusion that this relative realm is Truth.  In fact, the reality of seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, feeling is not the Truth of who we are.

The unchanging, formless, ever-present, omnipotent energy we tap into once in a while is that which is True.  I am on a quest to awakening and feel called to share this with all those whom wish to awaken...perhaps, alas, I found what my work in the world is.

"Maui is not for Doing, Maui is for Being"

Indeed!  What a great reminder of Spirit and Surrender!

I have lots of time to contemplate the being-ness here on Maui.  Our ritual of waking and jumping into the ocean is one of the most divine things in life that I truly cherish.  That is, because my life is made endearing and more memorable because of these experiences with my Love.  Even when we were locals, I often marvel at our vacation life style.  Being back allows me to remember that life is a beach!

Life is what we make it.  If we allow ourselves to  remember who we truly are ~ Spiritual Beings having a human experience ~ we can surrender into life and allow the flow of divine guidance to carry us...literally CARRY US.  We need not struggle, fight, resist or get attached.  All that makes for an experience that entails work...doing-ness, rather than experiencing our true essence...being-ness.

This is not to say that I would condone a lifetime of being a beach bum, though, if that is what One's Spirit is asking of us, who am I to judge?

Paying attention to the ease in my life around whatever I am doing is a great gauge.   It requires vigilant consciousness, patience and great (self) Love.  We must listen (both to what is going on and to our own hearts)...and we must choose from a place of awareness.  If we pay attention and trust The Guidance, we will all realize that we are not just divinely guided, we are Divinely Carried from one Spiritual experience to another.  Life unfolds, we are directed in amazing ways.  Life becomes magical, synchronistic...in the flow.

Tempering the monkey mind

The noisiest place in all the universe can be inside One's monkey mind.  I have been yearning to refine a daily practice that brings me into intention and awareness before I emerge for the day.  I decided it doesn't need to be long and drawn out -- just something personal and sacred to me to help me emerge, integrate and keep my consciousness of sacred life.

My daily ritual is the following:  conscious, sacred breathing & meditation to begin my day;   conscious, sacred breathing & forgiveness before I retire.
Picture
Practice to Emerge:
  • 10 conscious, life-filling breathes,
  • time in The Silence and
  • an affirmative to set an intention for the day.
Practice to Complete:
  • 10 conscious, life-filling breathes,
  • time in The Silence,
  • release and forgive all trespasses and
  • an affirmation for thanksgiving.

Heart is Home

It is Monday Morning, 9:30am Hawaii Time.  I have been in celebration all weekend - and awakening to Heart - for my arrival home.  Our website has been up for a number of months now, and it is only now that my intuitive voice wishes to speak.

I am on Maui once again, and my heart is full - alive - invigorated.  My heart and I are home here.

This land (`aina as the locals call it) is a very special place.  For me, the island is a reflection of my spiritual energy, I feel nourished, loved, supported ~ by the loving souls around me, but, even more so, I am present to the One presence and Power of Spirit.

There is nothing I need to do, nothing that must be accomplished ~ I am simply present to the awareness of the NOW moment.  I am in the flow of a greater vibration - conscious life.

I live from the heart - trusting, knowing that all is a manifestation of love.  As in heaven, so is on Earth.  As the outer, so is the inner.  With this, I live in alignment and in integrity.  I see less duality, I understand the paradox, I get it!

I have always felt that "Maui Ev" is the best version of me - I am comfortable in my own skin, there is nothing I need to prove.  My focus is to surrender the ego and be in the moment.  It is a beautiful way to live, really...to be in this practice of knowing.

In prayer this weekend, I heard loud and clear, "I am safe and supported 100%, I am divinely guided in every step in this journey of life and everything that happens is for my highest and best evolution."

Inspiration like this comes easily - speaks through me freely while I am here ...on Maui, living from the space of the Heart.  I am reminded that I take my vessel everywhere I go and I simply tune in if I find that I ever forget the essence of who I am.  "I am that I am."

So perhaps, instead of saying, "I am home on Maui" I ought to say, "I home in my heart space..."  Realizing that Maui (and all that is Maui to me) is a tool to help me remember that I am that I am, wherever I am.  All I do is to remember this - and move from this heart space.

God, Goddess thank you for the realization of Truth - I am that I am, wherever I am.  I am a loving being that is based in the space of the heart.  As I love unconditionally, I am abundantly loved.  With every action or choice in life, I am Divinely Guided. I listen and speak from my heart space - I give freely and receive abundantly.  I am carried by the vibration of goodness that is the sweetness of life - universal love:  always supported, always nourishing, always conspiring for my greater good.  For this Truth of knowing, I am grateful!  ...and so it is.
